The Littlest Pet Shop

Move over ants and termites, the butterfly is making an appearance. You can now grow butterflies right in your own home. They are not meant to be kept, but you can have a habitat for them hanging next to the Ivy in the kitchen.

Container gardening used to be for a few vegetables and herbs on the kitchen windowsill, but today you can grow almost anything in a container garden. The latest craze of growing or raising is butterflies. Now have your very own habitat of butterflies that you can watch grow and mature until it is time to release them. This is a faze, but it could be a helpful one. Replenishing the earth's population of butterflies can now be helped along by the average consumer. You can go online to find all types of container gardens and how to use them. The container garden is supposed to be a convenient way to get fresh fruits and vegetables to your family at a fraction of the cost of buying in the store or even farmers markets. Today, you can have a container garden that can teach you or your children about science. You can have a way to see the step-by-step process of the maturation of butterflies. There should also be a guide to show you what stage of the process the butterflies are in each day.

All summer long you can keep the education going by watching this most popular metamorphosis firsthand. Remember, they are not to keep, so as soon as the change takes place set them free. Then get some more and watch the transformation all over again.
