The Beeswax Candle Bzzzz

When we think of beeswax, the image is of a hive with honey dripping out of it and yellow bees swarming around. Of course, we eat the honey that comes from the beeswax, but what can the beeswax itself be used for? Believe it or not, candles are being made from this wax and the benefits of burning these candles will put some on your shelves!

Beeswax, much like soy, is a pure, all-American product bought from American farmers. In order to obtain enough beeswax, the honey bees typically need to consume around 10 pounds of honey in order to produce one pound of beeswax. That's a lot of beeswax.

Not only do beeswax candles help our American economy, but they also burn brighter, cleaner and longer. There is little soot given off and the fragrance is one of sweet honey for a relaxing environment.

Beeswax candles smell great, and they also clean the air by producing negative ions while burning. This helps with the reduction of allergens, and it eliminates pollutants from the air. You will be breathing pure, clean air.

Not all beeswax candles are truly 100% beeswax, so be careful when purchasing and make sure to ask to make sure you are getting what you pay for. Currently, there is no law that states that the manufacture must put the ingredients on the candles so some candles, while stated they are beeswax, could still contain other waxes such as paraffin.

It's natural, organic, grown here in the United States and the aroma is relaxing. Beeswax candles are an asset to any home and that's what all the buzz is about.
