Eating Heathy

Good eating habits start at home. Red fruits and veggies are the best for you, according to some nutritionists. Foods like red cabbage are good for brain function, a healthy heart and helping to prevent cancer, while tomatoes can actually lower your cholesterol.

You can also fill your kitchen with a variety of different colored fruits and veggies. It would kind of be like having a pharmacy of natural foods. Lycopene from watermelon and tomatoes is said to help with heart health. Foods like squash and carrots are good for your skin and vision. By working on your own healthy plan for better eating, you will be able to extend your food range to fruits, grains, and veggies that you previously did not eat.

By eating healthier foods you can lower you risk of chronic diseases such as certain forms of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, while raising your stamina and energy. By eating healthy, we are eating smart. Taking your time to eat and chew will help with your digestion, and eating smaller meals more often is also better for your health as it will steady your metabolism. Stop eating when you are full. Do not over eat; if your body is telling you something, listen to it. After all, your body knows better than you do.

Remember that eating healthy can and will help with your overall health and well-being. Eating more fruits and veggies is a great start to having better health. All because something is good for you, it doesn't mean that it will taste poor or bland. Find healthy foods that you enjoy, and you will be well on your way to being more healthy.
