All About Perennial Flowers

A lot of people like to plant perennials because of the fact that you only have to plant your flowers once.  Some of these plants can last forever while others may have to be replaced a few times.  Some perennials come in the form of bulbs, while others are sold as regular flowering bushes.

You have to determine what will grow best on your property.  Some flowers grow better in full sun, but others require shade.  When you plant your new flowers for the first time, be sure to water them every day for the first two weeks. Make sure you use some good fertilizer designed specifically for plants when you first plant them.  After the first two weeks, you can water your flowers every other day if you like.

Typically, these flowers are the first ones to come alive in the spring. They tend to bloom once and then die off.  With some perennials, you have to cut them down once they die, while others just die on their own. If you have tulips, you usually need to cut them down when they have finished flowering.

These plants or flowers come in so many different colors and sizes. You can spend a lot of time planting and picking out your new flowers, but remember to make it fun. A lot of people buy new plants and add them to their property every year so they can keep their expenses down. Adding these plants to your own yard may not just be a way to improve your garden; it could turn into an enjoyable hobby as well!
